Choose your favorite design and purchase three fabrics in 1 1/4 yards each. The books are written for one yard pieces but as a beginner you will need a bit more in case of a mistake. Most of the quilts are around 41 x 55 so we will be making a lap size quilt. Because we are going to be quilting this quilt I would like to keep it on the small size so we can finish a quilt during this class. Also since everyone will be choosing a different pattern, you will have the opportunity to learns a variety of techniques that may not be in your particular quilt.
