Edyta Sitar has done it again!  This quilting masterpiece features her Over The Rainbow Batiks by Moda.  Each applique block offers a spectrum of richly colored botanicals on your choice of batik background.  Pam's quilt block is shown above on a lighter, brighter background.  Don't be intimidated by this stunning applique quilt.  Moda has come up with their new Silhouettes program featuring "Silhouettes" that are laser cut applique pieces.  They have Steam-a-Seam fusible already on the back of the fabric.  All you have to do is place the applique pieces on the background fabric, press and stitch around the pieces.  All the tedious cutting is done for you.  Over the 13 months of this program, you will receive the pattern, silhouette applique pieces, background fabric, charm pack to do the cherker board border, and binding.   $25 Sign Up Fee. $32.95 a month for 13 months.

A great way to learn machine applique using fusible.  Were kicking this pattern to the next level using a new line of fabric from Moda called "Paris Flea Market" and some of the original fabrics from RJR called "Incense & Peppermints".  Many embellishments including beads, buttons, rosettes and a charm are added to this quilt to make it so unique.

Another great Block of the Month by Laurie Shirfrin Designs.  Using wonderful Hoffman batiks, this 12 months program uses 15 batiks that were choosen specially just for this project.  Laurie chose "Nature's Jewels" because of the rich, fully saturated jewel tones found in an autumn woodland.  The design also resembles crown jewels and stars with facets.
